Agent Focus: Allglass® Nenagh

1. Tell me a bit about the history of Allglass® Nenagh.

Nenagh Windscreens was part of the Donie Comerford Crash Repair Group established in 1977 and we have been operating in our current location since 1990.

Our weekly adds for windscreen replacement in local papers were a permanent fixture for a number of years in the 1990’s, to make our locality aware of the windscreen service we had begun to offer. This persistence paid off and combined with a professional service we became a well-established windscreen replacement centre for Nenagh and the surrounding areas.

When Nenagh Windscreens became affiliated with the Allglass® group over 10 years ago, Allglass® Nenagh was formed. This was an exciting move for us and an excellent opportunity to allow us grow the windscreen division substantially. We now cover all of the Tipperary region including parts of Laois/Offaly and Waterford areas. Such was the recent growth, Allglass® Nenagh have added a new depot in Clonmel to further service the south of the county and surrounding areas in a more efficient manner.

Allglass® Nenagh from its humble beginnings in the 1990’s, now boasts 3 mobile windscreen units on the road complementing the two dedicated windscreen depot locations, strategically positioned, one in the north of the county and one in the south of the county, and continues to go from strength to strength.

2. How many staff do you employ?

Allglass® Nenagh employ 6 glass technicians on our 3 mobile van units. A further 4 glass technicians take care of the inhouse depot jobs. And both divisions of our windscreens are backed up with 2 dedicated office support staff members. A total of 12 windscreen staff are overseen by a Director in Charge.

3. What do you enjoy most about the job?

Here at Allglass® Nenagh we enjoy many aspects of the windscreen business. It can be fast moving, and from my perspective, coordinating all the moving parts to ensure smooth running of each part can be both hectic but also very rewarding. Our aim is to ensure all aspects, ordering, booking & job completion are handled in as an efficient manner as possible.

4. How did becoming an authorized agent of Allglass® change things for you and your team?

Becoming an authorized agent of Allglass® opened up new opportunities allowing Nenagh Windscreens become Allglass® Nenagh and form part of the Allglass® household name. Our new jobs, ordering & booking all became streamlined as we adopted the scheduler as the main pillar to run the windscreen business. Special features such as the windscreen app used by our technicians, provide constant up to date real time information.

5. How have the challenges of the past 3 years impacted you and your team?

Although challenging we adapted well to new Health & Safety measures that were required due to the COVID pandemic. Mask wearing and sanitizing became standard practice as part of each and every job. The Allglass® supply chain was not affected and we continued to provide this essential service during each of the lockdown periods.
